We want information. Accurate and reliable information. But where can we find it?

The students sound desperate. They are working on an assignment, and like with many things in life, having access to good information is crucial.

The world is full of so many fake and untrue statements, the students continue. Can you help us? What do you suggest?

I understand the students’ frustration. Information overload is real. I receive tons of information every day. The newsletters in my inbox every morning. Many of which I cannot remember subscribing to. With catchy titles, they try to grab my attention. The podcasts when I am commuting. The experts on the many talk shows, I can watch in the evenings.

And when I need to look for information because it isn’t already provided to me, it only takes a second to find an answer.

Instant and readily available information dominates our daily lives and defines our culture.

A big part of the day is spent consuming, digesting, and sharing digital information.

We Are Not Programmed
