Eleven refuels. Eleven! That’s how I often had to endure the grueling experience of standing at a gas pump in 2024 — unscrewing the cap, filling up my tank, and handing over my hard-earned cash.

Each time felt like five excruciating minutes of pure boredom — time that could have been spent doing something more productive, like scrolling through Instagram, perfecting my TikTok dance moves, or learning how to retire at 30.

Instead, I found myself wasting my time refueling my conventional yet eco-conscious hybrid, just to gain another 400 miles of driving.

However, 2024 surprisingly turned into the Golden Age of refueling my hybrid SUV.

The future finally arrived at my local gas station — screens on the gas nozzles!

This innovation is truly life-changing. Instead of spending five minutes in existential despair while fueling up, I can now watch movie trailers, discover life hacks, explore recipes, and view ads for things I don’t need but will probably buy anyway.

It feels like Facebook and TikTok had a baby, and that baby now resides at my gas station.
