Why We All Need a Break From… Ourselves

Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?

“Oh, you are absolutely adorable.”

I hear this a lot these days.

For the past few weeks, whenever I step out of the house, it only takes a few minutes before someone approaches me and says those exact words.

Usually, the conversation doesn’t stop there; people want to chat.

Or I hear, “Look at him. He is so cute,” said behind me as they pass.

That’s not what I signed up for, I thought at first.

Give me a break!

Our New Family Member

My wife and I recently welcomed a new puppy into our family.

I affectionately call him “Big Man” whenever he comes running toward me, wagging his tail — or rather, his entire body!

“I’m really looking forward to our walks together,” I told my wife when we picked him up.

“These walks help me disconnect from my daily routine. They allow me to take a break from human interaction and give me space to reflect on the things I still want to accomplish in life. My ambitions and how to achieve them.”
